Beyond the Label

Long before it became a haven for grape growing, California’s Santa Barbara County was home to several Spanish missions. Inspired by this heritage, The Mission is a rich, dark-fruited Cabernet Sauvignon.

Although the region’s earliest vines were planted in the 1960s, Santa Barbara County quickly became one of California’s top wine districts. What makes it so special? The area’s moderate temperatures give the grapes a longer ‘hang time’ on the vine, which allows them to develop serious depth and complexity of flavor. You’ll taste what that means in this exclusive Cab, and why it earned a silver medal from the San Francisco International Wine Competition.

Look forward to beautifully concentrated, complex aromas and flavors of black currant, dark berry and toasty spice—the latter thanks to eight months in fine French oak. Structured tannins frame the long, smooth finish. A great choice for barbecue, roasted meats or hearty stews.

Our customers can’t get enough of bold, great-value California Cabs. You can pray our stocks of The Mission last—or you can place your order now to avoid missing out.
