Omaha Steaks 1917 Red Blend 2022

Flavor Profile
To select the 1917 range of House Wines, the Omaha Steaks team tasted a wide array of wines from boutique cellars around the world—and only the very best made the cut.
The award-winning Omaha Steaks 1917 Red Blend was crafted at Casal Branco, a magnificent and historic estate in Portugal, inland from Lisbon. A “casal” is the Portuguese equivalent of a “château” and Casal Branco has been owned by the same family since 1775—led today by José Lobo de Vasoncelos.
The estate lies in the heart of the dynamic Tejo region and was once the largest royal falcon hunting ground in Portugal. These days, in addition to crafting world-class wine, it’s also renowned for breeding elegant Lusitano dressage horses.
This rich red is a unique blend of native grapes Touriga Nacional and Alicante Bouschet with a dash of Syrah. It brims with ripe, dark-fruit flavors (blackberry, plum and black cherry) plus hints of spice. Fine oak aging adds smoky notes that match perfectly with steak, gourmet burgers, hearty stews and all manner of BBQ.
1917 is more than just the year Omaha Steaks first opened shop. It’s a promise of perfection—and a guarantee that this bottle will wow you from first sip to last.
