Beyond the Label

Opening a bottle from the finest properties in Bordeaux is a pleasure less and less of us can rationalize. But happily, the expressive and powerful L’Épiphanie de Saint-Estèphe offers the opportunity to taste the work of a true icon—for a fraction of the price.

Our L’Épiphanie range was born from long-established relationships between our on-the-ground experts and the world’s best producers. Each bottle is discovered via word of mouth or insiders-tip— sometimes due to surplus, sometimes thanks to a hush-hush handshake deal—you get the picture.

The one rule? We can never reveal the name of the estate from which it came or certain details around its production.

Here’s what we can say about this particularly incredible bottling…

It comes to us from one of Saint-Estèphe’s revered Seconds Growths (an elite tier of producers known for exceptional quality and prestige), whose 2023 Grand Vin is widely considered THE wine of the vintage. It completely sold out upon release—even though it was priced at more than $200 a bottle.

While this wine is not a replica, it was produced by the same exceptional cellar team and the same prime vineyards, and has the same opulent wine style that’s so sought after.

To experience the wine’s full spectrum of dark-fruited aromas and flavors, it’s best to decant the wine for a bit before serving. And remember, this will also age beautifully, so be sure to keep a few bottles for future drinking.

As you may have guessed, our stocks of this wine are extremely limited. Hesitate and you may miss it!
